the history subject comes under general knowledge part.
so you should study the Indian history ( history of India).
it includes everything about people, monuments, empires, acts,places of India etc..

Dear,

in the cds exam there is no optinal subject, so history subject under the General studies subject.

in general studies 10-15% covered the history subject,

so you read the graduation level history books, which covered almost all question asked in the exam.

the syallabus of history in cds is the history upto class 10th. take reference from ncert history books they are best for preparing history for cds.
