    What is the upper age limit to be eligible for UPSC exams in the year 2014 that would be considered(At the time of application or at the time of appearing exams)?

    Dear all,
    I am an under-graduate aged 27 yrs. I have left my graduation in between due to my financial constraints. Now I have started my studies yet again and plan to complete it by 2014 with the aim to attend the UPSC exams of 2014. At that time my age will be 30 yrs. So my main question of concern is WHAT IS THE UPPER AGE LIMIT CONSIDERED? IS IT AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION OR AT THE TIME OF APPEARING EXAMS? Please clarify and reply as soon as possible.

    dear friend,

    UPPER age limit for UPSC category wise is:

    General = 30 years.
    OBC = 33 years
    SC/ST = 35 years.

    your age must not reach to upper age limit on 1st January of year in which UPSC exams are conducted.

    Good Luck.............

    ***Hi friend!!***

    The age limits are:

    General category : 21-30yrs

    OBC category: 21-33yrs

    SC/ST: 21-35yrs

    Note:

    1)There's a considerable age relaxation for the special categories like Blind, Deaf-Mute etc.

    2)The ages are considered on the 1st August of that year for Civil Service Exam and Engineering Service Exam

    You can also have a look at whatever you want
