When will UPSC upgrade optional which are same from decades?

Dear Friend,

as of now there is no provisions announced by UPSC to change in their syllabus as well as optionals.
There is a provision for change in syllabus but that will only happen in the year 2014.
There won't be any change in 2013 as far as I know.
Because if there was any change in 2013 than it would've been already announced by UPSC.
So that candidates can start prepare themselves according to new syllabus and optional subjects.
So choose the optionals which are mentioned by UPSC as of now.

This is not a good question that when the UPSC change optional subjects.

UPSC has given the many choices for the candidate to choose any of the subjects in which they are interested.

it conducts exams in almost every subjects.

So there is no chance to update the subjects .

Well it's difficult to say that when will

The Upsc department change the optional subjects

As it's the decision of the department and it will

depend on them that when they will make changes in it

Also in the optional subjects their is almost all subjects

And almost all subjects from all the streams

And it's very difficult that now change will

Take place in the exam patter as recently

They have introduced some changes and

right now their is very less chances specially

In the matter of the optional subjects changes are not possible

And when they will make changes they will inform

Upsc is given that choice toyour,you can choose that subjects which is you know better
there is no resstructions to select the subjects
but some combinational subjects are not allowed like
mathes and economics,commerce and history

Hello friend,

There are not any changes in optional subject from last many years. As per my knowledge for 2013 the optional subject list will be same because notification for civil service exam will be coming soon and if board want to change the list of optional subject then they already update it on the website but still the list remains same. We hope that for year 2014 it will be changed.
