For this examination candidate must be Graduate any stream from any recognized university

IAS stands for the Indian Administrative services.The entrance examination for this service is Civil services examination.The important dates for the CSE 2013 are as below:

The important dates for the examinations is :

Date of notification:02/02/2013

Last date of receiving application:04/03/2013

Date of examinations:19/05/2013.

You can get the application form for this examination from the Head post office but I would suggest you to apply online for this examinations as it would be more comfortable for you with less chances of errors.

You can apply online for the examination by registering yourself at www.upsconline.nic.in.

After registering yourself on the website for civil services ,you need to fill in your personal details,after that upload your photograph and signature.The last stage is to pay the application fee by the modes in which you will more trust:

1.Online banking

2.Credit card/debit card

3.SBI challan form.

You must be a graduate and your age must be between 21-30 years if belonging to a general category.

After the notification has been released by the UPSC the application forms are available online at the official website www.upsconline.nic.in
Civil Services Examination is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates for the post of IAS, IRS, IPS.

The basic eligibility criteria for Civil Services Exam are as follows:
The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university. Final year degree students are also eligible
The age limit is 21-30 yrs.
The maximum number of attempts for General category is 4.
The candidate should be Indian.

2. you get from nearest post office.

and just fill and give it to same post office.

The candidate get the application form along with the Information Brochure from any of the post office/Head post office spread all over the country & sent the filled application form to the secretary of UPSC.
The Details information for the exam published in the month of december in the Employment News,Rozgar Samachar,Gazette of India & some other leading news papers.

The candidate also apply for the exam through on line registration at www.upsconline.nic.in.
You pay the application fee through online banking,credit card/debit card/challan form.

You can apply for the exam online as well as offline.


You login to the upsc official website www.upsc.gov.in and fill the application form through online method and pay the fee by online or off line method.


If you want to give the application through off line method then you purchase the application from the nearest post office.


You pay the fee through CRF stamp which is available from the post office.


Fix the stamp on the particular place and canceled from the post office with stamp of the post office.


Without cancelation the fee is not acceptable
