    Hi Aspirant,

UPSC hold the civil service exam for the following post

    IAS( Indian Administrative Service)

    IPS( Indian Police Service)

    IRS (Indian Revenue Service)

UPSC release the notification for CSE once in a year.

All these post are most reputed and responsible job of India.

Through these posts you can get promotion to the biggest post of India like secretary, advisor etc.

IAS, IPS , IRS or IFS are running the country.

That’s why UPSC adopt so long procedure in the selection of more eligible candidates.

UPSC choose the 900 candidates out of many thousands.

It checks all the quality of candidates which are necessary in the development of country.

This quality was checked through prelims, mains and Interview exam.

    Best of Luck…

Re: Why such long procedure is adopted by UPSC for Civil Services recruitment?

-UPSC conducts Civil Services recruitment in order to select the most
capable and suitable candidates for the various posts.

-Candidates are fully checked for their knowledge, intelligence, presence of mind
capability to handle stress, management and lesdership qualities and efficiency.
the administrative nature and duties of a civil servant are very tough, candidates
have to be most suited and efficient to do these jobs.

-One has to be mentally and physically tough to deliver their responsibilities
without being corroupt in an efficient manner and help the people and serve them.

-Hence it takes a lot of time and a long procedure has to be followed by UPSC to
select suitable candidates with the right apptitude & attitude, without making any
    mistakes.
