the civil services examination is top most examination of the country.
i am glad that many aspirants are willing to appear in this examination for the IAS ,IPS.

as you may know
the civil services exam is conducted in two stages .
PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
MAINS EXAMINATION

for the mains examination the aspirant has to select two subjects for the mains examination
at the time of filling the form for this examination.
the select combination of subjects should be such that the study required for the subject is different to each other.
the subjects that require similar study for its preparation are not allowed by upsc.

as per your interested subjects
i would prefer you to go with history,geography or public administration.
these are really scoring for the examination point of view.and just need a lot of memorization.
you can even prepare for these subject with out any special couching.

according to my view points History and Geography are two optional subjects which are easy to understand.

as you said that you are also interested in these subjects so you must choose these subjects as your optional subjects.

these subjects are considered easy to crack. so due to this most of the candidates choose History and geography as optional subjects.

It depends upon you that in which subject you can do well and in which subject you have more interest.

if you only want to choose the subject by easiest and marking point of view then History,Geology,Philosophy, etc. are the good subjects.

Others are also good subjects you can choose any of the subject as per your interest.

You can choose only those optionals which you are comfortable in and you are able to easily cover them....All are good you can choose depending on your command in the subject..

In my opinion you can go for Public Administration and Geography only if you are unable to choose..
