    dear,

you may be eligible only when if you belonging from reserves category .because the age criteria is as under.

    1. for general candidates - 21- 30 years.

    2. for obc candidates -21-33 years.

    3. for Sc/st candidates -21-35 years.

and according to the age criteria you cross the ae limit for general candidates because according to your birth date you crossed 30 so if

    Hi...friend
Sorry to say friend you are exactly not eligible to write any upsc exams
Why because the age limit for any upsc exam is maximum 30 years
You are crossed that age limit so we can not do anything
But if you are having any reservation then may it possible to write it
How means for bc's and sc's the relaxation is applicable for 3 and 5 years
so you can choose that option
if you are not reserved then leave the upsc and try for another
Next time onwards pleas mention your qualification then
we can able to find other option for you
    any way good luck..

Re: Am I eligible for UPSC exam 2013? My D.O.B is 15/3/1982.

The age criteria for the UPSC exam is below :
    21-30 for general cast
    21-33 for obc cast
    21-35 for sc/st cast
    21-35 for ex-serviceman
    21-40 for physically handicapped.

Now as you belong to OBC cast and as per the above rules , the maximum age limit for the OBC is 33 years .

Now currently your age is more than 30 so that you are eligible for the exam .

But you should fulfill the education criteria also like
You done your graduation from any recognized university in any stream .

If you fulfill the above criteria then you can give the exam .

But there are limit for the number of attempts that one can do like
    4 for general cast
    7 for obc cast
no limit for sc/st cast .

So that you have 7 chances for giving the exam .

So prepare well and give the exam .

    good luck
