As per the age you are eligible for the exam 2013. as per the exam requirement the age limit is the 21 years old and you complete the age 21 years in
the month of October. But condition is that if the exam notification is declare the month of the October 7th then you are eligible for the exam. Otherwise
you are eligible for the exam in the 2014.
There are four category
Category I�Civil Engineering.
Category II�Mechanical Engineering.
Category III�Electrical Engineering.
Category IV�Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
Age limit for the exam is 21 to 30 years for the unreserved cateogory.
The age relaxation for the SC/ST category is the 5 years.
For OBC category is the 3 years.
For physical handicapped candidate is 10 years.

Information about IES Exam :
IES stands for indian engineering service and this is conducted by the union public service commission under the civil services examination and every year the UPSC has inviting the applications for become a IES officer.
For writing the IES exam, you need to qualify the following required required requirements like educational qualifications and age limit and also see selection process for become a IES officer.
Required Eligibility :
For requiting the indian engineer service officer, required educational qualifications are you must completed the graduation in engineering filed from recognized university, but you need to select any one of the following subjects such as;..

1.degree from recognized universities in electrical,mechanical,civil,cse,computer application etc.
2.age relexation for gen.21 to 30 years,obc 21 to 33 years sc /st 21 years to 35 years,pwd 21 years to 40 years,..attempts-gen have to clear ies within 4 years ,obc-have to clear within 7 years and sc/st have no limit.ok

sorry to say that you are not eligible fo IES EXAM in 2013 because for ENGINEERING EXAM age should be 21 at 1 august 2013 but your D.O.B in 7 october so according to your age there is little difference thats why you can,t apply for IES EXAM.

NO YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE UPSC INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES EXAMS.
The minimum age required to be eligible for the Indian Engineering Services is 21 years.This age criteria is for all the categories.
Now the UPSC calculate age as that a candidate must attain the age of 21 years as on or before 1st August of the exam year.
Means you must have attain the age of 21 years before or on 1st August in 2013,to be eligible for the Indian Engineering Services.
But that is not the case,this year the exam will be conducted on 28/6/2013,so you are not eligible for the Indian Engineering services this year.
As your age will be 20 years and 8 months when the exam will be condcuted.
