INDIAN ECONOMIC SERVICES.
YOU ARE NEITHER APPLICABLE FOR INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES NOR FOR INDIAN ECONOMIC SERVICES.
The eligibility criteria for applying in the INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES
The candidates must have completed their engineering degree
1)mechanical engineering.
2)electrical engineering
3)electronics and communication engineering.
4)civil engineering.
also who have completed their M.SC in wireless communication,radio physics,electronics and radio engineering can apply.
The criteria for INDIAN ECONOMIC SERVICES
the candidates must have post graduate degree in economics/applied economics/business economics/econometrics.
So you can see that you are not applicable for any of the IES.

There are four categories in IES exam:
Category I�Civil Engineering.
Category II�Mechanical Engineering.
Category III�Electrical Engineering.

Eligibility for IES - Indian Engineering Services 2012
A bachelor's degree in engineering in any stream of the following :
Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Electrical, Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized board/university/institute with at least 50% marks, and 45% marks for SC/ST category candidates.
Note : You have not completed your engineering with any one of the above mentioned discipline so that you can not apply for Indian Engineering Services exam 2013
Age should be between 21-30 years and relaxation in age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen's and relaxation for widow, divorced and separated female candidates as per government standards.
Exam Pattern for Indian Engineering Services Exam 2013 : There are two sections follows in this exam :
1. Part I - Objective Type test and you will face two papers which are - General English and General Studies and this paper contains 200 marks maximum and you will get only 2 hours for this section. After qualifying this paper you have to qualify - paper I and Paper II under this section which also contains 200 marks each and you will get the same time for these papers also, so there are three papers conducts in part I section of this exam.
2. Part II - This would be you conventional type paper and you have to qualify paper I and paper II which contains 200 marks each and you will get 3 hours to solve each question paper so there would be total 7 papers conducted for this exam and the total marks for all papers are - 1000
3. Interview Process : Interview calls would be sent to only those candidates who will qualify all 7 papers and interview calling would be done by the UPSC board, Interview Process has 200 marks.
There would not be any other language than English in the examination means you are only allowed to appear for exam in english medium and if you think to choose any other language so this facility would not be allowed by the UPSC board.
Your handwriting must be good and easy to read by the examiner and answerer means your handwriting should be easily legible.
