We are sorry to say sir that you have crossed the maximum age limit which is required for UPSC exams civil and defense also because your should be between 21-30 years to apply for UPSC exams and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/STs and 3 years for OBCs and 10 years for PWDs and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen category.
If you belong to General and OBC category category then you are not eligible to apply for UPSC exams but if you belong to SC/ST or Ex-Servicemen or PWDs then you have a chance to apply for UPSC exams means you can apply for UPSC Civil Services 2013 after getting relaxation in upper age.

As you have not mentioned the name of UPSC exam,I think that you are asking about the your eligibility for the civil services examinations.The age limitations for the civil services examinations are as below:
So if you belong to sc/st then you can give the civil services examination but for one time only.If you belong to physically handicapped category then the upper age limit is 40 years.
In spite of age limitations ,you must have bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university.
>>You must be an Indian citizen.
The no of attempts also depends upon category to which you belong:
General:4
OBC:7
SC/ST; no limit.

Age Limit :
GEN : 21-30 years
BC : 21-33 years
SC/ST : 21-35 years
You are eligible only if you belong to SC/ST category.
Educational Requirements :
Candidate must be passed his/her graduation and also can apply in last year of graduation.
For that exam no percentage barrier , those candidate are also eligible which are just have passing marks in graduation.

Now look, if you belong to the general category or the obc category, then you are not allowed to give the exam as the maximum age to give this exam for the general and the obc category is 30 and 33 years respectively.

There are some categories for that age relaxation. It depends on which community you belong to, if you are OC then your age limit will be 21 to 30 and it will vary for BC and MBC its from 21 to 33 and for SC/ST it is from 21 to 35....If you are a citizen of Jammu and kashmir and if you are a X- service men then there is a age relaxtion upto 35 years. On the date of applying for exam you should be less than 35 years old if you come under any of the above mentioned categories.
