No friend , It's not risky if you complete your B.A. . in IAS exam the three round are complete for selection of IAS .
So in frist round is chose we any lenguage study and clear it.
After then other round we select any two optional subject and prepair it.
So It's not meter the student which subject take.
No dear there is nothing wrong or risky in choosing BA as your graduation if you are preparing for IAS exams then there is no problem because UPSC board wants degree in any discipline from a recognized university means any degree or course graduates can apply for this IAS exam and age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in age as per government guidelines only for reserved category candidates which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates.
You should not worry about your graduation because you are eligible and may apply for this exam and you should concentrate at your study as much as possible and give at least 15 hours for your study if you are really serious to become an IAS officer in India because it demands the more and more study to qualify the prelims exam then make your preparation double for qualify the mains exam then you must prepare for your interview process under a successful IAS officer and follow the guidelines of your successful civil officers then you may get the chance to become an IAS officer under the Central government.
All the best
