    Hi dear

Sorry!! to say but you are not eligible to write UPSC Exams at this age even though you are a research scholar at Cambridge.

As you have crossed the Upper age limit for all the UPSC Exams.

The age limit for all the UPSC Exams is:

    #Combined Medical Services Examination
    Below 32 years

    #Combined Defence Services Examination
maximum age limit is for OTA 19-25 years

#National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination
    16.5-19 years

    #Engineering Services Examination
    21-30 years

    #Civil Services Examination
    21-30 years

    #Indian Forest Service Examination
    21-30 years

    #Indian Economic/Indian Statistical Service Examination
    21-30 years

    #Geologists' Examination
    21-32 years

So you can clearly see that you have crossed upper age limit for all the Exams...

Sorry, dear friend you can not apply for UPSC exam.

There are maximum age should be 30 years for General

    33 years for OBC
    35 years for SC/ST

While your age is 41 years.

Therefore you can not appear in the UPSC Exam, because you are overage.

    Best of Luck
