You can try for the exam if you want to give the exam then you has complete knowledge regarding the exam and good preparation for the exam. The age limit for the exam is the 21 to 30 years. Age relaxation for the reserve category 3 years for the obc and 5 years for the sc/st category. The exam notification is declared by the upsc in the month of the February-2013 The preliminary exam is held in the month of the May The mains exam held in the month of the October/November. The eligibility criteria for IAs
~The candidates must have completed the graduation from any stream from a recognized university.
~Age limit-21 to 30 years for General candidate
3 years and 5 years upper age relaxation for the OBC and the SC/ST candidates respectively.
~Number of attempts-4 for General Candidate
7-OBC,unlimited-SC/ST.
The criteria for applying in the IPS,IFS is same.
