you are not eligible for scra exam.the minimum qualification for scra exam is the person must be passed in 12th class

Sorry to say but you cannot write the SCRA Exam while puruing in 1st Year Intermediate because as per your educational qualifications , you are noyt eligible for the SCRA Exam.
To be eligible for the SCRA Exam , the educational qualification that you should have is mentioned below :
a) You must have passed 12th ( Intermediate ) with a minimum of 55% marks from any recognized board.
b) You must have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as your key subjects .
So , you just try to complete your Intermediate with more than 55% marks to be eligible for the SCRA Exam.

i am really sorry to say that you are not eligible for SCRA EXAMS.
because your only now in 1st years.
you should have to passed 12th class from the recognized board .
then you can apply for SCRA EXAMS.
age should be 17 to 21 years.
you must be an indian.

First year intermediate means - class 11th .
10+2 (12TH) is required for SCRA exam.
Only science stream (Physics,Chemistry ,Maths) candidates are eligible for SCRA exam.
Candidates must be Indian.or as a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
Both Males and Females are eligible for SCRA exam.
Age limit between 17 to 21 years.
Age relaxation for OBC - 17 to 24 years.
Age relaxation for SC/St - 17 to 26 years.
Wait one year for this exam.

It is not possible for a 10+1 student to give SCRA exam as the minimum academic qualification required for this UPSC examination is 10+2 passed/appearing from a recognised board with subjects PCM and english as compulsory .
So,donot worry you will be eligible for this examination next year.
Preparation should be done in the rest one year as it is very tough exam as the competition is large here due to less availability of seats
However ,the dates for SCRA 2013 has already passed.
The other requirement are :
>>Age criteria: The general age limit is 17-21 years
>>You must be an Indian citizen.

Eligibility for UPSC SCRA - Special Class Railway Apprentices Exam 2013 :
Candidate must have passed class 12th with physics and mathematics as a compulsory subject and those who are awaiting for the announcement of the result may also apply for this exam
Candidate must be between 17-21 years in age and relaxation in age as per government guidelines or UPSC board rules and regulations
If you have above mentioned qualification then you can apply for this exam but you are in first year of your intermediate so that you can not apply for this exam so go for your 12th class and complete that then you would be eligible to apply for this exam.
