Age relaxation for IAS ( as i have completed 10 years regular service in ordnance factory)
my dob is 06-03-1980 and completed 10 years regular services as gr- B gazetted officer in Ordnance Factory Organisation, i belongs to sc category. now tell me what is the upper age for applying upsc exam?

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC in every year.
IAS exam eligibility;-
1)You must be passed a graduation degree from a recognized university in any stream.
2)Age limits;-
General category;-21 to 30 years
There is age relaxation for reserved category students,
OBC;-21 to 33 years
SC/ST;- 21-35 years
Ph candidates;-10 years age relaxation(21-40 years)
There is no age relaxation for B Gazetted officer.
but you can get SC category age relaxation.

Age Limit to apply for the UPSC Civil services Exams is:
Minimum 21 years for all the candidates
Maximum 30 years for the General Candidates
Maximum 33 years for the OBC Candidates
Maximum 35 years for the SC/ST Candidates
>> Age relaxations is given upto a maximum of 5 years in case of Ex servicemen also.
For the 2013 Civil services Exams candidates who were born between 2nd August 1983 to 1st August 1992 can apply in General category.
SC/ST candidates born between 2nd August 1978 to 1st August 1992 can apply
So, Yes, you can apply for the UPSC Civil services Exams.
Educational qualifications required to apply for this exam is- Graduation Pass in any stream.
This exam is held in 3 stages- Prelims, Mains and Interview
You require to prepare really well to clear this exam.
In the Prelims there are two papers which are of objective type and is common for all the candidates
In the Mains exams there are 7 papers and these are not objective type.

if you are belong to any SC or ST then you can apply :
SC/ST candidates born between 2nd August 1978 to 1st August 1992 can apply..
according to this you can apply but is you are not in this catagories the you cant apply for this post .
>> because there is no relaxation for any gazatte office.
