Does UPSC distinguishes between optional 1 and optional 2 while evaluating the papers? I have optionals as Physics (O1) and Geography (O2). Can I submit Physics as O2 and Geography as O1 in DAF?? What impact it may have on the evaluation?

Hi Aspirant,
Friend there is no difference in optional subject you can choose the optional subject as per your convenience and interest.
Optional subject is opted in the mains exam, you will not have to choose any optional subject in the mains exam.
There are total 4 paper of optional subject, two paper for each optional subject.
Each paper has total 300 marks.
So friend you should choose the optional subject very carefully, your success is depends upon the optional subject.
There is no problem if you choose physics as optional 1 and Geo as optional 2.
It will not make any impact at evaluation time.
So friend work hardly for the preparation of civil service exam.
Best of Luck
