Choosing the optional subjects is the very crucial decision. Generally, the Successful candidates in IAS, chose their parents subjects at the time of the Main examination. Because it is easy to prepare these acquainted subjects for CSAT. So I think if you chose those subjects which you took in your graduation, then it will be better to you to prepare properly for the examination. There are also some subjects which have good records in the last few years IAS examination. Majority of candidates do well in these following subjects. If you have these following subjects at the time of your graduation, then you can also take it as your optional subjects in Main examination. Those subjects are following:-
