Male : 152 cm
Female : 150 cm

The minimum height prescribed is relaxable in case of candidates belonging to ST and to races such as Gorkhas, Garhwalis, Assamese, Nagaland tribes etc, whose average height is distinctly lowered.

To become IPS Officer, one has to give the civil services exam conducted by UPSC.

The eligibility required is any degree from recognized university.

The minimum age required is 21 years and maximum age is 30 years for general category.

There is upper age relaxation as follows:

3 years for OBC.

5 years for SC/ST.

10 years for PWD.

Yes A commerce student can become the IPS officer. For the IPS officer the candidate must have graduate in any stream from the approved university. The age limit for the exam is the 21 to 30 years for unreserved category. Three years for OBC category and five years for the SC/ST category. this examination seems to be toughest in india.
to apply for the same you must fulfil the eligibility criteria first.
-graduate in any discipline can apply for the same.
