    Hi Aspirant,

Friend you can prepare for both the exam simultaneously but it would be very bad decision.

Because both are the different exam and there syllabus is also different.

CAT exam is conducted for the admission in Management College.

CSAT exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for the recruitment of candidates for the post of IAS, IPS or IRS.

So friend I would like to suggest you that first you should complete your MBA, means to say you should prepare for CAT exam.

After Completion of MBA you can apply for the civil service exam.

If you are more interested to civil service exam then you can apply for this now.

But Civil Service exam is the toughest exam of India and you have need of very hard work for this.

You need approx 10 to 14 hours for study.

So with the CSAT preparation you cannot do the preparation of CAT exam properly.

    Eligibility criteria for CSAT exam

    Should be graduate

Age should be 21 to 30 years

Age relaxation as per government norms

    OBC + 3 years

    SC/ST + 5 years

    PH + 10 years

You must be the citizen of India.

UPSC will publish the notification for the civil service exam soon in employment news paper.

The notification date is 2/2/2013 and application form can be submitted till 4/3/2013. While exam will be held on 19/5/2013.

    dear aspirant,

yes, you can do preparation for both CAT and CSAT simultaneously. But i want to suggest you to go for only one. because bot CAT and CSAT are tough exams and have different syllabus. It might decrease your performance in ranking.

So you must go for any one either CSAT or CAT. CSAT is conducted for the posts of IAS, IRS, IPS etc. and CAT exam is conducted for the admission of MBA in respected colleges.

so now its your own decision in which field you want to go.

    Good Luck......

yes friend you can apply for the CAT and CSAT exam both simultaneously.

But there is no similarity in the syllabus of CAT and CSAT exam.

Both are the totally different exam and you would have need very hard work to crack the CSAT exam.

If you will also do the study of CAT exam then you would not be able to crack the civil service exam.

So friend first of all decide that what you want to do and after that choose one stream.

CAT exam is an entrance test which is conducted for the admission in management college.
