    Hi dear

Yes candidates belonging to Backward Communities do get relaxations in UPSC Exams.

In Civil Services Exam they are given:

    # A relaxation of 3 years in upper age limit
i.e. the age limit for them is 21-33 years

    # More number of attempts
they are given 7 attempts to write CSAT Exam as compared to 4 for general category applicants.

Re: Is there any age relaxation for BC Category UPSC aspirants?

    No dear,

There is no age relaxation for the BC category. BC category is like as the Unreserved/General Category.

No age limit for the BC category.

The age limit for the exam is the 21 to 30 years.

The age relaxation only for the OBC & SC/ST category.

The age relaxation for the OBC category is the 3 years.

And age relaxation for the BC Category is the 5 years.

The qualification is required graduation in any stream from the approved university.

The percentage or highest degree is no matter for the exam.

    Best of luck
