The criteria for appearing for the IAS exam is fixed and if the number of attempts fixed for general category are 4...And if you have completed all of them then sorry you are not allowed to opt for it anymore..

But ............. Try to become pcs in any state , than become ias , by getting ias status as per rules.

Hi
I want to tell you that the UPSC has given the number of attempts of the exams to the candidates only for the purpose of checking the ability of the candidate to clear the exam.
If you have used all the attempts then you can not apply for the UPSC exams further more.
Sorry.
In the UPSC Civil Services Exams it has put a cap on the number of attempts that a candidate can give the exams.
It is as follows:
General Candidates:4 times
OBC candidates- 7 times
SC/ST candidates- No restrictions on attempts
If you have exhausted your all attempts , than there is no way you can give the exams again
hi,
it is very good question.
but dear there is no option for you to join civil services exam.
you belong to general category, number of attempts for you is 4 times.
you have already cleared these 4 times attempts.
based on your study,
choose another option,
best of luck.........................
Dear,
If candidate belongs to the unreserved category then there is no chance to appear in the exam after complete the four chances.
If you belong to reserve category then you has the chance to give the exam.
Otherwise no chance to attempt the exam.
For more information please update with the www.upsc.goc.in
Best of luck
hi
for every general candidate who poses upsc civil service eligibility criteria they can appear for 4 times
where as for SC/ST=NO BAR
FOR OBC=3 TIMES
its depends on the category mentioned in the requrements
it will be applicable when aspirants attain the eligibility conditions
for exam notification do visit=www.upsc.gov.in
good luck
thank you
Hello
The answer of the question is very straight,if a candidate have appeared in all his attempts, and have failed in each one of those, then he is by no way is eligible for any further attempts.
Now the attempts are fixed and there can be no changes possible,so naturally there is no way by which you can attempt again.
It is good to accept the truth, the truth is not going to alter if we do not accept it,truth is independent of everything.

Hello My dear Dude ...
Actually there is a system called NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS SYSTEM ....
Firstly Let me know your CATEGORY... You did not mention it
Generally NO.OF ATTEMPTS depends only on CATEGORY
If you are A OC STUDENTS then you can not apply for it further
OC --- 4 TIMES
OBC --- 7 TIMES
SC /ST --- NO LIMIT ...
ALL THE GOOD LUCK
- No, there is no way to appear in Civil Services examination after completing all your attempts.
- The number of attempts in the civil services examination are fixed, so no changes are allowed.
- However if you are from the obc category then number of attempts provided is seven attempts.
- And there is no limit on the number of attempts for the students from sc/st category.
- So if you are from an general category then you are not eligibile to give this examination.
If you attempted all your attempts.
Then my friend nobody cann't help it.
You have to apply for other job.
Good luck.
I hope it will helpful for you.
Hi
Sorry but there is no such option available from which you can give the upsc exam even after your final attempt. These are the rules which are decided by the upsc and these rules are need to be followed.therefore it is not at all possible for you to prepare for the civil services after your final attempt, you can try out for something else.
Gud luck for that
Dear following number of attempts are allowed to appear for UPSC examinations
General Category candidates 4 times
OBC Category candidates - 7 times
SC/ST Category candidates - No limit but only till 35 years of age (After claiming for upper age relaxation)
Ex-Servicemen candidates - No limit but only till 35 years of age
PWD Category candidates - No limit but only till 40 years of age ( After claiming for 10 years of relaxation )
I you belongs to General Category and have used your all attempts to appear for UPSC IAS examination or any other examination then there is no chance for you to appear for this examination again because you will not be allowed to apply for this exam so I would like to say sorry in this case
If you wants to become an IAS Officer then there is one more way to become an IAS Officer excluding to appear for UPSC Indian Civil Service Examination that is following
You should appear for State Public Service Commission Examination where you belongs means if you belongs to Madhyapradesh State then you will have to appear for MPPSC prelims and mains examination and qualify by scoring minimum qualifying marks and then pass in interview process and if you get the job then you will get a rank or designation of the job according to your scored marks and you will become an Gazetted Officer in that state but this will not give you IAS Officer rank
When you complete about 5 years of your service as unblemished and if UPSC board found your work done well and honest then you may be considered for further post or higher post after that and you may be posted to IAS Officer rank after that under state service commission but this will be through promotion and study is same for both UPSC and MPPSC that is why you have left more chances to appear for state PSC and try to score good marks in exam so you could get the rank of Deputy Collector or Commissioner etc. after that
All the best
no there is no way to appear for civil service after completing all your attempts
no of attempts
general-4
obc-7
sc and st-no limit
refer www.upsc.gov.in
Hello Guest,
The number of attempts for upsc civil service examination is as follows:
General Category candidates - 4
And for OBC candidates - 7
SC/ST - no restriction.
So, if you belongs to general category then you are no more eligible to write upsc Civil service examination.
But if you belong to certain category i.e. sc/st/obc , then you are still eligible for the exam.
I hope the above information will definitely help you.
Thanks & Regards.
