Hi Aspirant,
Friend in my knowledge all the optional subjects are the best but there is no subject related to computer science in optional subject.
So you will have to select any other subject in which you feel confidence for the preparation. There are several subjects and you will have to choose only two subjects.
You have no need to choose any subject in prelims exam of civil service. If you qualify the prelims exam of civil service exam then you will have to choose two optional subject for the preparation of mains exam.
Mains exam is a descriptive part. Here I am going to write the list of optional subject below:
AgricultureAnimal husbandry & vetinary scienceAnthropologyBotanyChemistryCivil engineeringCommerce and accountancyEconomicsGeographyIndian HistoryLawManagementMathematicsMechanical engineeringMedical sciencePhilosophyPhysicsPolitical science & international relationsPsychologySociologyStatisticsYou can choose the subject of your desire and based on your interest and about that you are more introduced, it will be helpful during the preparation of civil service exam.Zoology
So you can choose any two subjects.
Personally I would like to suggest you optional subject.
You can choose History, Geography and psychology as optional subject.
These subjects will be very helpful in the preparation of prelims exam as well as mains exam.
You can cover your GS section by the preparation of History and Geography preparation.
Psychology and public administration is also good subject for the preparation.
Best of Luck
