this is sorry to say but the date for filling up the IAS form is already passed. The last date for applying for the IAS exam was 5th april 2013. The exam will be conducted on Sunday, 26th May 2013

I have given the Important dates regarding the IAS exam 2013.

IMPORTANT DATES OF IAS 2013 EXAM

>>Last Date of Submission:- 04 April 2013

>>Date of the Preliminary exam:-19 May 2013

You can not apply in this year because the last date of the submission of application form has gone.

To become IAS Officer, one has to give the Civil services exam conducted by UPSC.

The last date to apply for these exams is already over for this year.

Last date for online registration is 4th April 2013.

The prelims exam will be conducted on 26th may 2013.

Mains may be conducted in the month of November/December 2013.

So, if you have missed out now, don't worry prepare for the exam as these exams are tough minimum 1 year sincere hard work is needed to get through these exams.

Required eligibility conditions for Civil services exam is as follows:

Candidate must possess a valid degree from recognized University.

Age of the candidate must be minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years for general category.

Upper age relaxation for reserved category candidates is as per the goverment guidelines.

The maximum age limit for OBC Category is 33 years.

The maximum age limit for SC/ST Category is 35 years.

Exam Pattern of civil services exam is as follows:

CSAT or Prelims

Mains

Interview.

There are also restrictions on the number of attempts for this exam.

For general category, 4 attempts are allowed.

For OBC Category, 7 attempts are allowed.

For SC/ST Category, there is no limit.
