The Main examination is again divided into two parts written and Interview Test.Interview Test consits of 275 marks.I am writing in format the subject paper consisted in written examination.
    Paper-I Section 1 Essay 200 Marks
Section 2 English Comprehension & English Prcise 100 Marks
Paper 2:General StudiesI Indian Heritage and Culture, History and Geography of the World and Society 250 marks

Re: What should I do to become an IPS? I am now pursuing BBA.

    Dear friend,

IPS stands for Indian police Officer.

Exam for this is Civil services is only conducted by UPSC.

Its the right time for your preparation.

As you are pursuing BBA so I would suggest you to complete your preparation during these 3 yrs of your graduation.

It would be better If you start your preparation from the first year only as you would be having enough time to clear your concepts.

If you do not find comfortable in studying yourself you can join some one of the good coaching Institutes.

They will provide you a correct guidance and path to your success.

Their regular tests will show your strong and weak points according to whicg you can work upon the weak areas more.

Now when you complete your graduation or when you will be in your last year you apply for the exam for that present year.

You can see notification of exam from the official website of UPSC or other sources like newspaper or employment news.

Fill the application form and then sit for the exam with full preparation.

See you have limited no. of attempts for the examination So I would like you to remind you to clear the exam in those attempts only.

Here are the no. of attempts category wise:

GENERAL- You can give 4 times

OBC- you can give 7 times

    SC/ST- no limitation
