Eligibility criteria for Central Excise Inspector

Candidate must have a degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% marks

Candidate age should not be less than 18 years and more than 27 years

All reserved category candidates will get the upper age relaxation as per government guidelines

5 years upper age relaxation for SC/STs and 3 years upper age relaxation for OBC category candidates

If you belong to SC/STs category then you have 2 years to apply for this exam and if you belong to general or other backward classes then you have lost the opportunity to become a central excise inspector means you can not apply for this exam or not eligible.

There is a age limit for Excise examination for general category is 27 and it will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC category and 5 years for SC/ST category so if you are belonging to relaxed category then you can be eligible.
