Am I eligible for Civil Services (IAS/IPS) if my father is accused in a scam? Will I be disqualified in the background verification process in any of the recruitment's (Police/Civils)?

Hi All,

My father has been accused in a scam. It wasnt his fault and i know it doesnt matter. He is a Govt teacher and been suspended and was in remand for 90 days. Now he got his job back. The case is till going on though. It is CID case. He is accused number 19. Can you please let me know whether i am eligible for IPS or any police services in India or will i be disqualified at the verification process because of my family backgroud. Please let me know ur answers mean a lot to me.

No you are not disqualified from IAS exam as you father is accused of a scam.
as IAS exam does not include parent background for appearing in exam.
so I suggest you to prepare for exam without any doubt in mind.
