    Yes ofcourse you can apply for Engineering Services Exams being a Fresher also,no experience is required.
    You need to apply after meeting all the eligibility criterias and clear the UPSC Indian Engineering Services Exams(IES).
    IES exam is conducted every year by UPSC for candidates and make recruitments.

    IES is conducted every year to make recruitments to 4 categories namely :
    Civil Engineering
    Mechanical Engineering
    Electrical Enginering
    Electronics & Telecommunication Engineeri
    ng

    Eligibility For IES :

    Age Limit:
    General Category-21-30yrs on 1st August of the year of exam
    OBC-21-33yrs
    SC/ST-21-35yrs

    Educational Qualification :
    A Bachelors Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/Equivalent.
    Final year appeared/appearing candidates can apply provisionally.

    Expected date of IES Exam notification is 16.03.2013 and exams may be held on 28.06.2013.

    yeah sure you can apply for IES EXAM .

    THERE is no requirement for experience.

    you just passed engineering from the recognized university.


    age should be 21 to 30 years.

    age relaxation for obc 3 years, for sc/st 5 years.

    you must be an indian.

    Hello Dear,

    Yes definitely you can give IES exam. IES exam is conducted by UPSC once in a year. there are some eligibility criteria for IES exam. you can appear IES exam only if you are fulfill all these Eligibility criteria which is alloted by UPSC

    Eligibility Criteria for IES

    Should be completed degree or diploma in engineering & technology for following branch
    Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
    Mechanical
    Electrical EngineeringCivil Engineering

    Age Limit
    Candidate should be 21 to 30 year if he/she belong to general category
    there is age relaxation provided to SC/ST and OBC candidate in the upper age limit
    For OBC age relaxation 3 years
    For SC/ST 5 years age ralaxation

    Dear,

    Yes you are eligible for the exam while study the 3rd year in the graduation.


    Upsc requirement the candidate must have complete the graduation in any stream from the approved university.


    Which candidates are appear in the final year or waiting the result those are also eligible for the exam.


    The age limit for the exam is the 21 to 30 years for unreserved category.


    Age relaxation for the unreserved category.


    The exam notification is declare by the upsc in the month of the February-2013.


    The exam is held in the month of May

    Dear Friend


    Yes,of course ,you are 100% eligible to appear for the Engineering services exam provided that you have done your bachelor of technology or engineering from a recognised university.

    IES stands for the Indian Engineering services examination

    But for examination ,you have to select subjects from the core branches only and that are:

    >>Civil engineering

    >>Mechanical engineering

    >>Electrical engineering

    >>Electronics and communication engineering

    The age limitations for this exam is as below:

    General:21-30 years

    OBC:21-33 years

    SC/ST : 21-35 years.

    The no of attempts is also same as civil services examination:

    General;4

    OBC:7

    SC/ST: no limit

    Examination pattern:

    Yes Absolutely means you are 100% eligible to apply for IES - Indian Engineering Services Exam if you have following eligibility criteria :

    1. You must have a bachelor's degree in Engineering in any stream as - Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, Communication and any other relevant discipline of engineering from a recognized university with at least 50% marks.

    2. Your age should not be lesser than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age would be provided only to reserved category candidates which is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen and relaxation in age for - Divorced, Widow and separated ladies would be provided as per government guidelines.

    There is no experience required to apply for IES exam and you can apply for this exam if you are pursuing final year of your degree or awaiting for result.
