you have to choose two optional papers for the main examination of the CSAT. My personal opinion is that it will be better for you, if you choose your parents subject for the main optional paper. If education is your parents subject, then you can surely choose it as your optional paper. The subject education also comes under the lists of the subjects which is listed in the UPSC CSAT advertisement. Thanks........

You cannot take the education subject as the optional subject. You took only that subject which is provided by the upsc.upsc given the subject list you took only two
subject form given below list
