There is a common notion among the upsc candidates that some subjects are scoring and others are not. Public Administration, Geography, Sociology, Psychology etc. are generally considered scoring subjects and subjects like literature, history etc. are not considered scoring. Philosophy is not considered scoring. But I think if you have good command over any subject, you can score good marks in it. Take philosophy if you have deep interest or depth in it, otherwise not.
