Re: How to apply for UPSC exams being a 3rd year Electrical engineering student?

No my friend currently you are in the third year so that you are not eligible for the exam because for giving the exam one should done their graduation or in the final year of graduation .
The criteria for the UPSC exam is below :
-> one should done their graduation from any recognized university .
-> A final year student can also eligible for applying the exam , but before the main exam one have to complete the graduation .

    Age limit :
    21-30 for general cast
    21-33 for obc
    21-35 for sc/st, ex-serviceman
    21-40 for physically handicapped.

So you either finish your graduation first or give the exam in final year .

Till that you can prepare for the exam .

So that in the next year you are well prepared.

But there are limits for the no of attempts like
For general cast , maximum 4 attempts are allowed
    for obc maximum 7
for sc/st there are no such limit for the no of attempts.

    GOOD LUCK

    Hi Friend!!

Being a 3rd year student, you're not eligible to write the UPSC exams. Only the final year and passed out students are allowed to write the exams.

So you need to wait till you reach fourth year.

Fourth year students are allowed so that they can have the certificates if they're recruited which is not possible for the third year students.

Re: How to apply for UPSC exams being a 3rd year Electrical engineering student?

    Dear Friend,

Sorry to say but you cannot apply for UPSC Exam because currently you are not eligible for the same.

This is because you do not fulfill the eligibility criteria for the exam as the required educational qualification is you must have completed your graduation from any recognized college/university.

Or , you must be in the final year of your graduation , i.e. , if your pursuing Electrical Engineering , then you are eligible only when you are in the Final / 4th year.

So , You have to wait for one more year to get the eligibility for UPSC Exams.

This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you top the extent you want.
