See my dear friend....
you mentioned 4 specializations like gate,cat/cet or upsc...
these are 4 different paths means..
the questions will be asked for gate exam is completely from your syllabus..
so if you good at your specialization then no need to worry ...
coming for cat exam....the questions will be asked from complete aptitude , reasoning
and small session from your syllabus...
coming for UPSC ...questions will be asked from different sector ...
this will be completely different from your studies...
...so that first of all concentrate on gate and cat exams..
because the syllabus is equal...
after getting the completed degree then come to UPSC exams...
and concentrate on only UPSC exam ...
no more things has not placed in your mind...
this is not a minor competitive exam...
the competition is more and exam also little bit tough ...
any way all the best...![]()
- It is a good decision that you are planning for future from now onwards.
- As per my suggestion do not hunt for all the exams.
- Make your choice first which exam you want to prepare for.
- GATE is for MTech, CAT for MBA & UPSC for Government Jobs.
- First get some recommended books for respective exams.
- Before starting preparation assess yourself by solving previous years question papers.
- According to your performance in various sections start preparing with the subject you scored least marks.
- You may also attend coaching classes available.
All the best!
Dear Friend
Well it's good that you are looking for these exams
But my friend if you are preparing any of the exam not all these exam
Any of the exam you need a good strategy and then to follow the strategy
And work according to your strategy
Also one thing keep in your mind that first
You have to find out your week subjects
And then need to work hard on your week points
And your week subjects that's the only way to get success
In your exams whether it is gate or a upsc exam
Just do regular practice and practice
Also do more focus on your optional subjects
That you will going to choose in the upsc exam
Best of luck
Hi dear
GATE, CAT & the UPSC Exam all are for different carrier paths and require completely different approach.
So as you are already in your final year of graduation , you should first decide what carrier or exam you are interested in and then start working accordingly.
For each of these Exams you will have to develop different skills.
Like for the CAT Exam you need extremely good communication skills and for GATE exam you need a sound knowledge of your engineering branch and similarly for the UPSC Exam you need have a good knowledge of the humanities subjects and current affairs.
dear friend,
dear friend i really recommend you to focus on one exam at one time.
and if you want to really prepare for all the three exams GATE, CAT/CET or UPSC exams.
then choose technical optional subjects for UPSC. it would be helpful for you for gate and CAT also. and study of these subjects throughout .
first and most important Manage your Time table and maintain your self calm and Cool.
increase your general knowledge, continuous reading news papers and magazines, concentrate on English.
solving Previous year question papers is most requisite part of preparation.
Good Luck.........
