Re: Which is the most recommended stream in HSC and graduation for an IFoS aspirant?

Dear if your target is to qualify in Indian Forest Service Examination and become IFoS Officer and start your career in protection of forest in India then you should complete your bachelor's degree first and as you have demanded that which stream should you choose in class 12th so that could be helpful for you in future and mainly in preparation of this examination so I would like to say that you can choose any stream as you want at this level because it does not matter which stream you belongs from but sometimes matters in case of Arts and Commerce stream because those who have completed their bachelor's and other qualifications in either Arts and Commerce are not eligible to apply for IFoS examination so these two streams are eliminated and another two streams left that are mostly chosen by candidates while starting their career from higher secondary level

You can choose anyone of the Agriculture Science or Mathematical Science because both of these subjects are accepted in examination and you may also take Biology at this level because that also makes you eligible for such exams and all the subjects relating Agriculture, Biology and Mathematics are available in IFoS examination to choose so there would be no problem in recruitment process but stop for a second and keep your interest first that what you want at this stage then take your own decision in which you want to make your career as if you select Biology then go for B.Sc in Biology or Botany or Zoology or Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biochemistry or Microbiology and if you take Agriculture then you may complete your bachelor's degree in either B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc in Forestry, B.Sc in Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science or B.Tech in Agriculture Engineering and if you take Mathematics then also there are so many options at graduation level which are - B.Sc in Mathematics, B.Sc in Physics, B.Sc in Statistics, B.Sc in Computer Science or BE or B.Tech so all these graduation degrees are accepted in this exam and if you have good knowledge then relevant subject may help you in examination so choose according to your interest as if you see that you can do better in biology then you can take that otherwise choose another one

I have attached official notification of this exam that you can read and collect more details about this exam

    All the best
