-ALTHOUGH,if you belong to reserved category,or physically disabled or ex-servicemen,then you can comfortably appear for the exams as they are entitled to age relaxation.

for next years CSAT your age at the time of application will be (march 2013 - Aug,1982= 30 years 7 months)
for GENERAL CATEGORY should be within age 21-30 years, so clearly you are not eligible in this category as you are 7 months overage.
for OBC CATEGORY should be within age 21-33 years, so clearly you are eligible in this category as you are 2 years 5 months underage.
for SC/ST CATEGORY should be within age 21-35 years, so clearly you are eligible in this category as you are 4 years 5 months underage.
Dear, As other says if you belongs to General Category than you are not eligible. But if you belongs to Reserve Categories than you have chances. Following are the Age limit criteria:- 1.Gen. - 21-30 yrs. 2. OBC - 21-33 yrs. 3. SC/ST - 21-35 yrs. 4. Physically Challenged General caste - 21 - 37 yrs. etc.
On the upcoming August you are 30 years old .
Now the age limit for the UPSC exam is below :
21-30 for general cast
21-33 for obc
21-35 for sc/st/ex-serviceman/physical handicapped .
If you are in general cast then you are not eligible for the exam .
but otherwise you are eligible for the exam .
if you belong to general category then you are not eligible for next csat exam. since the age limit for general category is 21-30 years. but if you are from other category then you are eligible.
all the best
happy learning!!!
Dear,
The age limit for the UPSC's CSAT examination is within 21 to 30 years. The upper age limit for the OBC is 03 years, for SC/ST is 05 years. The number of attempts for General candidates is only 04, for OBC, it is 07 and for SC/ST it is up to their last age limit, i.e., 35 years of age. As per your Date of Birth, your age is 30+, so you can only appear the examination, if you belong to the OBC or SC/ST candidates. Otherwise, you can't appear the examination.
