    Yes the B.TECH Students are eligible for the

    IAS Exam and you friend said wrong information to you

    As the graduate students from any side from a recognized Indian university

    Are eligible for the upsc IAS Exam

    You have to write the civil services exam for this post

    For the exam you have to clear the exam

    First you have to clear the pre exam and then the mains

    And after that their will be a interview

    Nationality:

    The person should be a citizen of India

    Age Limit:

    The age of the person should be between 21-30

    Also for the ph it should be 21-40 and for sc,st 21-35

    For obc category age limit is 21-33


    Education Qualification:

    The Person should be pass in graduation from a recognized Indian university

    Their is just need to be pass in graduation with pass marks

    someone has misguided you. YOu are eligible. MINIMUM educational criteria is a bachelor's degree from any recognized university

    graduation or engineering in any subject or stream is
    the basic eligibility to apply for the upsc civil services examinations .

    b.tech aspirants are fully eligible to apply for the upsc civil services examination.

    the age criteria to apply for this exam is


    age should lie between
    21-30 years for the general category
    21-33 years for the OBC category
    21-35 years for the SC/ST category

    the civil services exam is conducted in two stages .

    PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
    MAINS EXAMINATION

    followed by an interview.

    No, it's not true.
    Every person who is graduate from a recognized university and
    having age between 21-30 years is eligible to write the UPSC exam.

    No it is not true.
    You are perfectly eligible to apply yourself for UPSC IAS Examination.
    It is designed in such a way that any candidate in this country who possess a Graduate Degree or equivalent can apply for IAS Examination.
    Indian Government provides opportunity to every eligible candidate.
    That is why you can choose your own Optional subject besides the Main subject.
    Being B.Tech you are perfectly eligible to apply.
    You age limit should be between 21 to 30 Years if you come under General Category.
    Age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidate as per the UPSC Guidelines.
    So as long as you have above criteria than you are perfectly eligible.
    Friend's advise are welcome but you also need to do your own research before believing it.
    Do your own research before coming to any conclusion.

    WHO has said that b.tech students are not eligible for UPSC exams, it is totally wrong.

    B.tech students are eligible for almost all exams except few examinations.

    B.tech stands for bachelor of technology.It is a four years bachelor degree in technology.


    The examinations for which b.tech students are eligible are :

    Civil services examinations:

    Indian engineering services.

    Combined defence services.

    Indian forest services.

    Central police services.



    the basic eligibility criteria for UPSC examination is :

    >>Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

    >>the age should be between 21-30 years for general candidate.

    >>Relaxation of three years is provided to obc and 5 years to sc/st.

    >>nationality should be Indian.


    How to apply??

    >>You can apply online for the upsc exams at www.upsconline.nic.in.

    >>you can also apply in offline mode also .


    No of attempts:

    no that's not true

    b.tech student are fully eligible to apply for the upsc civil services examination .
    they can apply for this examination after completing their course or
    while pursuing the final year of their course.

    according to the eligibility criteria to apply for the upsc civil services examination
    the aspirant must have completed graduation or engineering
    in any stream or subjects from a recognized university under ugc.

    notification for the upsc civil services examination
    is released in the month of feb/march

    the civil services exam is conducted in two stages .

    PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
    MAINS EXAMINATION

    the age criteria to apply for the upsc civil services examination is as follows.
    21-30 years for the general category
    21-33 years for the OBC category
    21-35 years for theSC/ST category

    Number of attempts
    4 attempts for general category
    7 attempts for OBC category
    no limit for SC/ST category

    No , B-Tech student are applicable for UPSC IAS exam .

    IAS exam is conducted by UPSC through civil Service Exam .

    Those candidate have completed graduation degree from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for IAS exam.Not require any kind of Percentage marks.

    B-Tech degree is a graduation degree in technology.

    But your age should be in between 21 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

    No , Its totally wrong that B.Tech students are ineligible for UPSC IAS Exam.

    Because If You guys also fulfill the eligibility criteria for the UPSC Civil Services Exam then you are absolutely allowed to appear in the Civil Services Exam.


    If you fulfill the above mentioned , then you are eligible :


    * You must have completed your graduation from any recognized college/university.

    * Your age should lie in between 21-30 years.

    * Relaxation is also there for OBC/SC/ST candidates.

    * You must be an Indian Citizen.

    dear friend,

    first of all i want to make you understand that IAS is not a exam it is post that you can get after clearing the Civil Services Exam that is conducted by UPSC.

    and coming on your point it is not true that B.Tech students do not apply for Civil Services. because for Civil Services you need graduation in any discipline.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    1. graduation.

    2. your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam.

    It is not true. B.tech graduate is eligible for upsc exam.
    Age limit is 21 to 30 years.
    You must be indian citizen.
    General category number of attempt is 4 times.
    For obc is 7 times.
    There is no limit for sc and st candidate

    B.Tech Students are eligible for UPSC IAS Exam.

    They can appear in CSAT Exam to become IAS.

    For appearing in Civil Services Exam, they must be in final year of Graduation or they should have completed their Graduation Course.

    Age Criteria:


    For General: 21 to 30 years


    For OBC: 21 to 33 years


    For SC/ST: 21 to 35 years

    Bcoz for the exam you should have only graduate degree from recognised university.

    IAS POST is conducted by UPSC once in a year.


    any graduate candidates can apply for IAS POST.

    BUT for IES POST only engineering candidates can apply for IES EXAM.

    NO IT IS NOT TRUE,THE B.TECH STUDENTS ARE VERY MUCH ELIGIBLE FOR CIVIL SERVICES.

    The candidates who have completed their graduation are very much applicable for any civil service examination,it is absolutely a wrong concept and there is no substance in it.Every graduate candidate are applicable for the civil services.The civil services like IES,IPS,IFS,IAS in all one graduate can apply for the exams,so you do not have to worry it is not at all a correct information,you must know it.best of luck

    The B.tech students are eligible for IAS exam s conducted by UPSC.
    Educational Qualification:
    1.The candidate must posses a bachelor degree in any dicipline from any recognized University or any equivalent is eligible for IAS exam.
    2.The final year degree students are also eligible to apply for IAS exam conducted by UPSC.
    B.tech is a graduation degree course.so,a b.tech degree holder is eligible for UPSC IAS exam.
