IAS stands for the Indian Administrative Services.Civil services examination is conducted for this service.It is organised by UPSC every year.So the important dates for the civil services examinations that will be held in the year 2013 are as follows:

Date of notification:02/02/2013

Last date of receiving application :04/03/2013

Date of examination: 19/05/2013

Necessary Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university.Final year graduation candidates can also apply for the examination.Age limitations for candidates is from 21-30 years.Relaxation of three years to obc and five years to sc/st respectively.

No of attempts:

General: 4

OBC:7

SC/ST: no limit.

According to my knowledge every year the notification for the civil services examination is released in the month of

January / February and the prelims exam held in the month of may/ June every year,

this year the examination was held on 20 may 2012 .


if you want to join civil services than you have to give this examination and be alert in these months .

but you must have proper information about the same.



REQUIREMENTS:-


NATIONALITY:- INDIAN.

AGE :- 21-30 AND

FOR OBC :- 21-33 Y

FOR SC/ST :- 21-35 Y

QUALIFICATION:- GRADUATE FROM A GOVT. RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY.

NO OF ATTEMPTS:-
FOR GENERALS:- 4 ATTEMPTS.

FOR OBC :- 7 ATTEMPTS.

FOR SC/ST :- NO LIMIT.
