ZERO HOUR denotes the time immediately following the Question Hour in both Houses of Parliament. This is about 12 noon which is why it is called Zero Hour. During this hour members can raise matters of great importance without prior notice. However, the duration of the Zero Hour has varied over the years. It is not possible to predict what kind of matters might be raised during Zero Hour as there is no mention of any Zero Hour in the rules of the Parliament.

zero hour is between 12-1 pm every day ,
it is called zero hour because in this hour no any work is done except answering the questions which
were asked by the any member of parliament without giving any notice /application.
the question is asked in the question hour which is between 11-12am and their answer are given inb the zero hour.
in other words we can say that -Zero Hour in Indian Parliament refers to the left over time after Question Hour in
Parliament. This is about 12 noon which is why it is called Zero Hour. During this hour members can raise matters of great
importance without prior notice. The duration is anything between five and fifteen minutes.
