Re: Can I attempt UPSC exams with diploma as qualification?

    Dear,
The minimum qualification for the UPSC examination is to pass the Bachelor degree in any discipline at any recognized university. Your Diploma in Mechanical qualification is not the minimum qualification to appear the examination. so if you'll complete successfully the B.tech in Mechanical, then you can apply all graduate level examination as well as your IES (Indian Engineering Service). The age should be within 21-30 years. The upper age limit for OBC is 03 years and for SC/ST is 05 years. you can also visit www.upsc.gov.in Thanks...

    Dear,
The Educational Qualification required to appear in civil service exams conducted by UPSC is " Graduate in any discipline from any recognised university in India".

So as a diploma holder you can't appear for the UPSC Civil Service Exam. You have to complete your graduation.
