    1. Graduate in Any Discipline From Recognized University.
    2. Age Limit :
    General : 21 to 30 Years
    OBC : 21 to 33 Years
    SC/ST : 21 to 35 Years

    3. Indian Citizen
    >>>>No. Of Attempts :

    General : 4
    OBC : 7
    SC/ST : 9

    >>>>Selection Process :

    1. Preliminary Exam
    2. Mains Exam
    3. Physical And Medical Test
    3. Interview

    Physical Qualification :

    Height:

    Male Candidate : 165cm (In Case Of SC/ST/OBC : 160cm)

    Female Candidate : 150cm (In Case Of SC/ST/OBC : 145cm)


    Chest:

    Male Candidate : 84cm

    Female Candidate : 79cm

    Note : They Should Be Able To Expand The Chest For 5cm For Male And Female Both


    Eye sight:

    6/12 Or 6/9 Distant Vision For Worse Eye And 6/6 Or 6/9 Distant Vision For Good Eye. Near Vision For Worse Eye Is J2 And For Good Eye Is J1.

    Indian Police Services has very competition .To reach this level you have to required a lot of hard work,alertness of mind,stamina,Good team member,but also have to respect responsible of team for better society.

    >>>Eligibility to become IPS officer:

    ->academic:
    Must be a Garduate from Indian Recognized University in any stream.

    ->Age limits:
    General 21 to 30 years(Upper age relaxation applicable reserves catogories).

    ->Notification will be released by the commission once in every year in the month of February/March of every year.

    ->Selection precess:
    -Preliminary.
    -Mains.Interview.

    >>>Positions of IPS officer:
    1.IPS probationery officer.
    2.Assistant superindant of police.
    3.Commissioner of Police.
    4.Director general of Police.
    5.Inspector of General police.
    6.Director General of police

    You can only appear in IPS Exam if you satisfy the basic eligibility criteria like

    Educational Qualification
    The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university
    Final year degree students are also eligible
    Degree obtained by distance education/open university is also eligible if the university is a recognized university

    Age limit
    General 21-30 yrs
    SC/ST 21-35 yrs
    OBC 21-33 yrs

    Number of attempts permitted
    General 4
    OBC 7
    PH 7
    SC/ST No Limit

    Nationality should be Indian.

    Special Physical Requirements For IPS
    1.Minimum height of 165 cm for Men and 150 cm for Women (minimum height is relaxable to 160 and 145 cm for Men and Women respectively in the case of candidates belonging to ST and to races such as Gorkhas, Garhwalias, Assamese, Kumaonis, Nagaland Tribals etc.)
    2.Min Chest girth fully expanded: 84 cm for Men and 79 cm for Women. Expansion of 5 cm for Men and Women.
    3.Total amount of Myopia (including the cylinder) should not exceed minus 4.00 D and total amount of Hypermetropia (including the cylinder) should not exceed plus 4.00 D
    4.Presence of Squint is a disqualification
