I am extremely sorry to inform you that you can't appear the UPSC examination. As the age limit for the CSAT is 21-30years. For OBC candidate the upper age limit is 3years and for SC/ST candidates, the age limit is 5years. Since you have already crossed the upper age limit, you can't apply for it. Best of Luck

I'm sorry to say that you're over-aged to write the UPSC exams unless you're a Central Government employee.
The age limits for the UPSC exams are:
General: 21-30yrs
OBC: 21-33yrs
SC/ST: 21-35yrs

you are not eligible to write any UPSC exam
why because the following shows correspondig age relaxations
you mentioned your age qualification as 1978 means
- for bc's or ob's the extension should be 3 years
- for sc's and st's the extension should be 5 years
- for generals there is no extension takes place
its too long .
now you are having above 34 or 35 years
so it is not possible to write any upsc exam
my suggesion is first you will do your post graduation
then some chances may be give to get into any governmetnt job

the age limit for appearing for UPSC exam is 21 to 30 for general candidates. but for OBC candidates, there is an age relaxation for 3 years. but I'm sorry to inform that you cannot appear for the exam as you have already crossed the upper age limit.
