UPSC EXAMS AGE LIMITS:-
21 to 30 years for open category.
AGE RELAXATION :-
for obc 3 years means 21 to 33 years.
for sc/st 5 years means 21 to 35 years.
for ex-servicemen 5 years means 21 to 35 years.
for ph 10 years means 21 to 40 years.
so i am really sorry sir you are not eligible for UPSC EXAMS.

No you can not apply for civil services of UPSC at an age of 40.
The different age limits of UPSC exams are.
1)For IAS,IPS,IAS,IES the age limit is 21 to 30 years.
there is age relaxation(upper) for OBC,ST/SC and physically handicapped.
3 years for OBC,5 years for SC/ST and 10 years for physically handicapped.
2)CDSE
the minimum age limit is 19 years and maximum s 25 years
Thr CDSE is conducted to select candidates to enter into the NAVAL ACADEMY(NA),AIR FORCE ACADEMY(AFA),OFFICERS TRAINING ACADEMY,INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY(IMA).
For all these the age limit is maximum of 25 years.
3)POLICE CENTRAL SERVICE
also has a maximum age limit of 25 years.
4)NDA
The age limit is 16.5 to 19 years.

Age Limit of UPSC CSAT exam is
Age of the candidate is 21 to 30 year, If he/she belong from general category
Age of the candidate is 21 to 33 year, If he/she belong from OBC category
Age of the candidate is 21 to 35 year, If he/she belong from SC/ST category
Age of the candidate is 21 to 40 year, If he/she belong from PH category

upsc basic requirement is the person must be graduate from any recognized univercity nd age should be in between 21 to 30 years
